Organizers have announced that the Ron Savage Trio will perform at this summer’s Cambridge Jazz Festival. The Chair of the Ensemble Department at Berklee College of Music, Ron Savage has worked with Jazz Legends such as Mulgrew Miller, Gary Bartz, Johnny Griffin, Joe Zawinul, Albert King, Art Farmer, Nnenna Freelon, James Williams, Bill Pierce, James Moody and many others.

The Trio is well known for combining different music styles into a fresh new sound with elements of BeBop, Swing, Gospel, African, R&B and Brazilian music.

“The Ron Savage Trio is an important addition to the Festival,” said Larry Ward, the Festival’s executive director. “Their musical style has wide appeal. Their music speaks to people who know a lot about jazz and care about jazz as an art form, but also to people who may be unfamiliar with this music.”
